Last updated: September 25, 2026. These standards apply to everything on Mooud — Vibes, Live, Forums, messages, Shop, Link and every other part of the app — and to everyone who uses it.
1. What we prohibit
Mooud has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE). It is forbidden to post, send, stream, request, sell or link to:
- any child sexual abuse material (CSAM), real, drawn, animated or generated;
- content that sexualises a minor, in any form;
- grooming — contacting or befriending a minor in order to abuse or exploit them;
- sextortion, trafficking, or arranging to meet a minor for sexual purposes;
- anything that advertises, solicits or facilitates any of the above.
2. Mooud is for adults
Mooud is for people aged 18 and over. Everyone confirms their age before using the app, and an account we believe belongs to someone under 18 is closed. This does not reduce what we do below: we act on every report as if a child may be at risk.
3. How to report
- In the app: tap Report on the post, live, profile, message or listing, and choose Child sexual abuse or exploitation. That reason reaches our team immediately — it does not wait in a queue.
- By email: safety@mooud.app — our child-safety point of contact.
- If a child is in immediate danger, call the police first: 999 in Kenya and the UAE, or your local emergency number.
You do not need an account to email us, and you do not need to be sure. Report what you saw.
4. What we do
- We remove the content and suspend the account involved as soon as the report is confirmed.
- We preserve the evidence securely, as the law requires, and do not share it except with the authorities.
- We report it to the authorities: in Kenya, the Directorate of Criminal Investigations; in the UAE, the Ministry of Interior's Child Protection Centre; and internationally, to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) CyberTipline.
- We permanently ban people who share CSAE and cooperate fully with any investigation.
5. Help for children and families
6. The law we follow
We comply with the child-protection laws of every market we operate in, including Kenya's Children Act, 2022, the Sexual Offences Act, 2006 and the Computer Misuse and Cybercrimes Act, 2018, and the UAE's Federal Law No. 3 of 2016 on Child Rights (Wadeema's Law) and Federal Decree-Law No. 34 of 2021 on Combatting Rumours and Cybercrimes.
